Publish a reseller domain catalogue with correct terms, prices and features

domain-nexus, resellers

The reseller catalogue determines which domain extensions, periods and operations an account can sell. Review it as a complete offer, including registration, transfer and renewal, before resellers import prices into downstream billing systems.

01 Prepare the source offer

Confirm the relevant WHMCS registrar configuration, TLD availability and upstream operation support. A DNS provider connection does not establish registration pricing. Keep the configured currency and the reseller's funding arrangement clear.

  1. Open Domain Reseller > Catalog & pricing and review the active TLDs and supported periods.
  2. Check registration, transfer, renewal and any restoration or premium handling separately. Do not infer renewal cost from the first-year sale price.
  3. Review the group or reseller pricing policy and its effective result.
  4. Check service flags such as DNS Management, Email Forwarding, ID Protection and EPP support against the actual registrar and service configuration.
  5. Inspect the catalogue as a test reseller before publishing or asking customers to synchronize it.

02 Verify quotes

Use the current pricing workflow for an operation and record its domain, action, years, currency and expiry. Availability is not a price reservation, and a manually supplied premium flag does not establish a live registry premium price.

For restricted TLDs, check required fields and consents as well as price. Publishing an extension does not waive registry eligibility requirements.

03 Coordinate connector synchronization

The supplied WHMCS connector offers an exact catalogue-sync addon for independently priced years. A reseller should preview the full matrix, review currency and markup, and apply the intended result. The standard WHMCS Registrar TLD Sync uses its own pricing model, so running both tools without a plan can overwrite reviewed term prices.

Catalogue synchronization affects configured prices. It does not automatically reprice existing customer renewal charges or already created invoices. Tell resellers which changes need a separate billing review.

Why does a reseller price differ from the published catalogue?

Compare the upstream published offer, reseller group, currency, term and last synchronization method. If a term is absent, do not invent a price by multiplying another term. If an operation fails after a quote, inspect offer eligibility and the provider result before creating another order.

Keep a dated record of significant price and feature changes. This helps reconcile a reseller's customer quote with the catalogue that was in effect when the upstream operation was requested.
