Evolution includes supported branding controls for logos, colours, layouts and navigation. Use those controls to keep customizations manageable through updates and to avoid maintaining a copied legacy skin.

What you need before you begin
Choose the administrator or reseller scope that should own the branding. Keep copies of the current assets and settings, prepare readable light and dark variants where needed, and confirm that external links point to trusted HTTPS destinations.
01 Customize the DirectAdmin Evolution interface
- Open Admin Tools and Customize Evolution Skin in the appropriate access level. Inspect existing settings before applying a new brand.
- Upload logos and icons through the provided controls, then choose colours with enough contrast for links, warning messages and buttons. Test both light and dark modes.
- Adjust layout options and navigation only where they help customers find supported services. Hiding a menu item does not revoke the underlying permission.
- For global login-page branding, use the administrator Login Page customization area. Treat this separately from the appearance a user sees after login.
- Preview an administrator, reseller and ordinary user view using authorized access. Check inherited branding, because a reseller own customizations can take precedence over its administrator settings.
- Save the final assets and a record of custom settings so the design can be reproduced on a replacement server.
Can branding prevent access to a feature?
No. Use package permissions, feature controls and account privileges for access restrictions. Navigation customization is presentation, so it must not be treated as a security boundary.
Confirm the expected result
Check desktop and narrow-screen layouts, long labels, help links and visible validation messages. Confirm essential account, security and support controls remain usable. Test a fresh session to detect cached assets or scope differences.
Troubleshoot unexpected results
If some customers retain a different appearance, inspect ownership and reseller overrides before applying changes to everyone. Revert the specific customization that caused a layout problem. Avoid editing installed Evolution application files, which may be replaced during an update and can make troubleshooting harder.
